Standing on Big Shoulders

March 21, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

All are welcome and invited to join us on Tuesday.  This is day 2 of our Parish Mission.  You can come 1 night, 2 nights, or all 3 nights.  No need to RSVP.  The overall theme is:

God Has a History of Using the Insignificant to Accomplish the Possible

Overview: The Catholic faith has no shortage of role models and giants on whose shoulders we stand.  This presentation will examine the lives of four individuals:  Thomas Merton, Dorothy Day, Pope John XXIII, and Henri Nouwen.  All have provided us an example to follow as we strive to be closer disciples of Christ.

Tony Pichler serves as the Co-Director for the Norbertine Center for Spirituality.  Formerly he served as the Director for Youth Ministry and the Director for Lay Ministry for the Diocese of Green Bay.  Tony earned a BA in theology from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, and a Master of Theological Studies degree from St. Norbert College in De Pere.  Tony continues to be active in social justice ministries as he helped to establish StreetLights Outreach, St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, and the Micah Center.  He has authored eight books including Totally Lent and Absolutely Advent, seasonal journals for teens.  Tony and his wife live in West De Pere. They have two adult children.
