Living the Joy of the Gospel

With so many challenging issues facing us today, it is tempting to succumb to a mood of darkness and sadness, yet Pope Francis calls us to live the Joy of the Gospel. Just what is joy? Is it something more than just putting on a smile? During this parish mission, we’ll discover that joy is something deep within us if we have truly embraced Jesus’ call to discipleship. Join us for all of these presentations. All are welcome.

A Loving God: The Cause of our Joy on November 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Gift of Mercy with Anointing on November 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be several priests administering the Sacrament of Anointing after Fr. John Anglin’s, OFM, presentation.

Sharing the Joy of the Gospel on November 6 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Fr. John Anglin, OFM, will be our presenter. He’s a Franciscan friar and priest. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He’s conducted more than 500 parish missions and presented many retreats for priests and religious. He is author of two books: The Wandering Friar, which paints a picture of the Church through the eyes of the many people and places that Fr. John has served over the years, and Following Jesus in the Footsteps of Francis, a guide to Franciscan spirituality for everyone.

We will have hospitality and refreshments after each presentation. No cost to attend but there will be a freewill offering.

Fr. John will also be celebrating Mass with us at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Below is the schedule.

November 2 for 4:15 p.m. Mass

November 3 for 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses

November 4 for 8:00 a.m. Mass

November 5 for 8:00 a.m. Mass

November 6 for 8:00 a.m. Mass

Please note that weekday Masses will be slightly longer than 30 minutes. We will have coffee and muffins after weekday Masses.
