Thanks to parishioner donations, we have plenty of blue jeans to make denim shoes for Ugandan children to be jigger free. Jiggers are tiny insects that embed themselves into the skin of a foot; it is very painful.
Sole Hope has given us a toddler size 5 shoe pattern, which we need to trace and cut. That’s 6 pieces per shoe which is 12 pieces per pair of shoes. We’re looking for people to help cut denim. If you’re available and interested in helping, please join us and bring a sharp scissors with you.
We’re cutting shoes on Tuesday, February 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
